ISSI was happy to help restore an antique passenger car for the Wheels Museum! We donated a Marsh Stencil machine and supplies for this restoration project with the help of our senior technician, C.W. Schulze who has 42 years of experience with this machinery.
ISSI was recently contacted to help in the restoration of a 1952 Budd stainless steel sleeper rail car, The Silver Iris. The rail car restoration is being done for the Wheels Museum in Albuquerque, New Mexico by Mr. Kurt Olsen. The museum plans to join the Silver Iris and a 1937 Acoma First Class Lounge Car. Upon completion the train will run excursions between Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
In the restoration, historically correct stencils need to be applied using a Marsh model R, 1” stencil machine. As the largest independent distributor for Marsh Stencil products, Industrial & Shippers was pleased to restore and donate the machine and supplies needed for the project. Our senior technicain, C.W. Schulze, who has over 42 years of experience repairing Marsh Stencil Machines was up to the task.
ISSI is pleased to have been part of this project. The Historic Preservation of these magnificent trains is a great way to learn more of our history and how transportation helped shape our great communities!

The sales team from Industrial & Shippers Supply recently completed factory training at Signode corporate headquarters in Glenview, IL. William Carollo from Acme/Signode presents Ron Filer, Todd Lorenz and Ben Lukish of ISSI with certificates of completion. The ISSI Sales team completed comprehensive product training on the latest equipment, tools and strapping products.
The training came at a perfect time, as Signode launched new products for steel and plastic strapping systems. The battery powered Grip Pack steel strapping tensioner and sealer are a first to the industry!
The MOD GPX brings Signode’s modular technology to general purpose plastic strapping machines, providing greater service flexibility. Both systems are the cutting edge of strapping technologies.

Industrial & Shippers Supply was recently recognized for its support of the Kingwood High School cheerleaders. Pictured above are varsity 2014-2015 cheerleaders with their sign of sponsor appreciation. Donations were made in support of the cheerleaders for their annual community cheer clinic.
The Varsity cheer squad from KHS organized and put on a cheer clinic for children, ranging in age of three to thirteen earlier this semester.
The clinic is an annual event to encourage participation and support for area cheer leading sports.
The event was a great success, providing kids with a positive outlet of team spirit and physical fitness. The weekend event provided young and emerging cheer leaders an opportunity to learn organized stunt routines, tumbling moves, team building and team spirit from the KHS cheer leaders.
A KHS cheer mom was quoted as saying; “we are so thankful to our sponsors for their support”; “all the kids, KHS cheer leaders and volunteers had a great weekend, thank you”.
